Brit Venenga is an emerging voice in the world of women’s/LGBTQ fiction. She has experience with nonfiction / reporting and is now branching out into adult fiction. She is completing her first LGBTQ thriller novel, Johnny’s Shadow, while also attaining a Bachelor’s Degree in English & Creative Writing through Southern New Hampshire University.
Drawing upon her wide range of life experiences that have taken her from the farm to the city, from the domestic violence shelter to owning her home, and from the barbed shackles of alcoholism and drug addiction to the freedom of recovery, she leads readers into the varying landscapes of universal humanity and shows them how to find diamonds in the dust.
She lives in Des Moines, IA, sharing a home with her wife of 7 years and their amateur-size pet collection of three cats and two rescue dogs.
